JUST DO IT

Before you start reading this, ask yourself a question. Well its not a big one. Why is it that you are reading this article?

You don’t really need an answer but usually in life you are faced with doubt. The way of simplifying your problems is by reducing the possibilities and if that’s not possible, at least group your choices and form an equation.
I believe that in life you only have two choices. One that your heart asks you to do and the other that your brain commands you to. Well technically your heart doesn’t but happiness, pleasure and contentment is something that would be the result of following your heart. If you fail you will have a broken heart and it might be nearly impossible to forget it. But who cares right? you learnt something. I believe those lines are a bunch of crap to a few choices in life. For example, if someone tells you that you drive like an old person and asks you to drive at high speeds please use your head and say no. If you could drive well at those speeds you would not need someone to tell you that. Jumping back to the article, The other choice is called an adjustment when you follow logic and stick to safety which is right for some cases as well like the one case that I mentioned. When you follow your brain you are most likely gonna end up successful because you are following logic but that does not mean that you will end up happy. Let me break this down for you.
Following your brain is correct for issues in life where you should not show bias. It helps to keep you alive and be a sane person. In a job interview or in a situation where you have to choose between friends’ opinions, count on your logic and stay away from emotions. Rely on the feasibility of the idea and you’ll know if it would be successful or not instead of judging who gave you the opinion. A reunion with friends or an upcoming examination, well you can meet them later as well; study for that important test.
Following your heart is really really important for a few reasons. Let’s do some simple math here. Say you sleep for 6 hours everyday which is 25% of one day and say you live for 80 years, this means that for 20 years in your life you will be sleeping. Which means that you have only 60 years in your hand. Now sixty years is a really short span of time considering the last and the first few years of your life that will be spent on the bed. What is the worst thing that could happen if you followed your heart in the remaining 40 years? If you are are a young person reading this and you always wanted to learn how to play the guitar and you are currently feeling bad about it, lift your lazy bum and enroll yourself for guitar lessons. If you like a girl/guy just go ahead and speak your heart out and express yourselves. This particular one is kinda important. No other happiness can match the happiness of love ( so I have heard ). If you think you have a great idea for a start up company and entrepreneurship is on your mind let that mind not stop you from achieving that goal. Let that job salary and family pressure not be the road block to your killer idea. Trust me if this idea works, you will feel happier than happiest you might be when in love. The world will know you by your name, maybe not as much as Steve Jobs or Tendulkar but who knows, given the time maybe even better.
So what I am saying is that choice is not about being right or wrong, its if you want to follow your heart or follow your brain.
Following your heart is an art
Getting it wrong will tear you apart
But living your awesome life the way you like
Is greater than Edmund Hillary’s Everest hike
